Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of labs, classroom & offices IT equipment
1. Classroom & Lab Maintenance
· Maintain classrooms and computer labs to ensure smooth conduct of lectures.
· Ensure all IT equipment (PCs, Projectors, Smart LED, UPS, Audio Systems, etc.) is fully functional before scheduled classes.
· Provide immediate technical support during lectures and lab sessions.
· Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance of classroom and lab equipment.
2. Faculty & Staff Support
· Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and academic systems.
· Install and configure desktops, laptops, Printer, VOIP and other peripheral devices.
· Troubleshoot system-related issues in a timely manner.
3. Basic Network Support
· Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
· Perform basic network patching and configuration.
· Escalate major issues when required.
4. Documentation & Other Duties
· Maintain IT inventory and asset records.
· Perform routine system updates and maintenance.
· Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor.
· Ensure proper locking of lab doors and windows
· Ensure safe custody of IT equipment and immediately report any discrepancies, damage, or loss.
Required Skills:
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Essential · Knowledge of computer hardware (desktops, laptops, printers).
· Understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts
· Basic understanding of IT asset management and documentation.
· Software installation and configuration.
Troubleshooting & diagnostic network issues.
Desirable · Knowledge of operating systems (e.g.,
Windows).
· Experience with helpdesk/ticketing systems.
· Continuous learning attitude.
· Strategic thinking in IT infrastructure planning.
· Ability to prepare technical reports and SOPs.

Qualification:DAE/BSCS from HEC recognized University.

General Conditions:

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
